This is my friend Sheri with her new(ish!) baby Rowan. Do I have baby fever now? OH YES, I DO. Need. Cuddly. Baby. Now. Too bad it takes sooooo loooong to actually make and bake one, because I am ready to have a new baby like, yesterday.

playing in the box

Do you remember just how awesome it was to play in boxes as a kid? We lived near a furniture store, and my mom and dad used to bring home these giant refrigerator boxes that we turned into all sorts of things: houses, mazes, Alice's wonderland - it was amazing! I just got a new vacuum off Amazon, and Nate made James this little house. He LOVES it!

I'm loving the fact that James is finally into books. They say you should read to your child every day, but that's hard to do if your boy won't sit still and he doesn't like books. And he has so many books. I have been buying them here and there from the thrift store and the library books sale for almost 3 years, and he now has a full book case of kids books. But would he read them? no. I was starting to fret and wonder if this was my child at all. But as children often do, he came around, and now he loves flipping through his books.

How is it that on a parched and blazing hot day, my toddler manages to find the only wet and muddy spot in the whole park to stick his foot in?
