{Pretty, Funny, Happy, Real} * July 14

This was seriously the prettiest beach day ever. Corona Del Mar is a really wealthy suburb here in the OC, and they have the best beaches. This one was so pretty, and when we got there we were the first people there!

Men will be boys, that's for sure. Nate (and James, I might add) think is hilarious to pull the wagon around the yard like its at a monster struck rally. Nate's friend Tim decided to join James in the wagon, and Nate pulled so hard James went flying face first into Tim. Did he cry? Oh no - he cried "Ma Ma MA!" (more, more, MORE!)

A rare photo of James smiling - these are treasures! :) Normally I can't even get him to look at the camera, much less smile.

When we go to the book store, the main attraction is (obviously!) the escalator! I thought it was cool that for the first time, James sat down and looked through a book of his own will (and he enjoyed it! It was goodnight moon and he just learned to say moon. Every single page has a moon on it, so as he paged through he kept crying out "it's a MOO!" So darn cute.)

  1. Love the "Cocoon-Man" pictures!
We are in a really rural area, and a rite of passage with out kids is to take them to the mall when they are three or so and let them ride the escalators. You'd think they were at an amusement park!

  4. I know, aren't the ones in the tunnel funny? I was thinking he looked a lot like the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland!

  5. What beautiful photos! I love the wagon shot.

Your beach photo made me homesick for our little old beach cabin. Our beach looks a little bit like like that - well it did, pre-tsunami anyway. *sniff*
