{Pretty, Funny, Happy, Real} * July 28

Pretty
I seem to be having a little love affair with the critters in my backyard, because I freak out every time I find one. When we first move into our current home, the backyard was a wreck. For all intents and purposes the lawn was dead, and the only living thing in it was a sad little lemon tree at the bottom of the yard. Nate and I dug up one of the planters, and the soil was so barren there weren't even any worms in it. Fast foreward two years, and now the yard is thriving. The lawn in green, the ground is full of the fattest, happiest worms, and we get all kinds of visitors - wasps, butterflies, honey bees, hummingbirds, and yes, even bumble bees!

crazy hair day at VBS! I went as Heidi, as you can see, and James is sporting a Mohawk.

I am pleased to introduce Rebecca Hatcher Family Photography! This is a photoshoot I did for a local family last week down at the Wedge in Newport Beach. So if you are local to the Orange County area and you are looking for an affordable family photographer, I'm your girl! And isn't this a beautiful family?

Sometimes I wonder what goes through a 2 year old's mind. Something like, "hmm, these fridge magnets would look so much better in the dryer. Yes! Let's put them there!"
