Vacation Bible School

You may have noted that last week posting was, er, non-existent. That was entirely due to the fact that I was doing Vacation Bible School all week, and OH MY GOSH, doing VBS with pre-schoolers is exhausting! It seemed like James was having a melt-down or a temper-tantrum about every 15 minutes, so between that, taking pictures, and leading crafts, I was pretty much spent by the time we got home. As was James - he went down for naps with no complaints!

As fun as VBS was, I am not sure how much James actually absorbed. It was all geared towards pre-schoolers, but I don't think James sat down and listened to the stories even once. While all the other kids were sitting on the blanket listening, James was literally running laps around the entire group. He did like the crafts quite a bit though, and I had to tear the paintbrushes or the markers out of his hands whenever it was time to move on to the next thing. (temper tantrum time. Again.)

And just because I can, here is an awesome video my church put together recapping VBS week! James isn't in it, but some of the kids from my site were!
